About the Band
Based in Hellaby, Rotherham, rehearsing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 8pm-10pm.
We are a traditional British brass band comprising Bb cornets, Eb soprano cornet, Flugelhorn, tenor horns, baritones, euphonium, trombones, bass/tuba Eb and Bb, tuned and kit percussion.
The band competes in the second section of the Nationally graded Brass Band championships.
We provide music on behalf of South Yorkshire Police, having a well-balanced schedule of events, including traditional concerts, contests, civic ceremonial gatherings, and awards ceremonies.
We also have a 10-piece group and heraldic fanfare team performing at civic ceremonies.
In recent years, we performed live on Channel 5 Winter on the Farm, National Police Public Bravery awards, and multiple events at Sheffield Cathedral, Cutlers Hall, and St. Georges Park (the home of English Football).
We perform predominantly in South Yorkshire inc Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield, but also some further afield performances also..
We offer excellent air conditioned rehearsal facilities, provide all uniforms, instruments and equipment and have no subscription costs
